Event Details

Cocheco Valley Humane Society opened its doors in 1984 to help serve the animal welfare needs of Strafford County. To celebrate our 30th anniversary, we’re throwing a Totally Rad for Rescue 80s party!
Featuring live music from local 80s tribute band Gazpacho, Totally Rad for Rescue is a special one-time-only fundraiser for the animals that includes a silent auction, heavy hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, a fun photo booth, and dancing to some great hits from the 80s!
80s attire is encouraged but not required, so grab your parachute pants and fingerless gloves and get ready to party like it’s 1984!

Parking is available both on the street and at the nearby parking garage. Pets are not allowed at this event. Please print your ticket and bring it with you to the event. All proceeds benefit the animals at Cocheco Valley Humane Society. For more information, go to

Cocheco Valley Humane Society

The Cocheco Valley Humane Society (CVHS), located in the Strafford County Complex in Dover, New Hampshire, was established in 1984 to serve the domestic animal welfare needs of the more than 125,000 residents of Strafford County, NH. We also provide service to New Hampshire and southern Maine residents who, while living outside our general service area, need and seek our assistance. We provide shelter to more than 2,000 animals per year with additional services to thousands more.

Housed in a 100-year-old piggery that was once part of the county work farm, CVHS does not receive funding from the State of New Hampshire or the federal government. A community-funded, nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, CVHS is dedicated to promoting the humane treatment of animals in Strafford County, NH and Southern Maine. We are a safe, temporary home for more than 2,000 surrendered, lost, abused, neglected, or unwanted animals each year.

Our mission is to provide quality, compassionate care and shelter to our animals, in partnership with educating the community concerning humane animal treatment and welfare.
