Description

The Coffee Sessions Logo

The Speciality Association of Europe UK Chapter (SCAE-UK) and the International Coffee Organization (ICO) are pleased to present a UK premiere in the field of Green Coffee evaluation and palate training.

FlavorActiv— in partnership with Square Mile Coffee Roasters and Coffee Enterprises— have developed the first tasting kit to replicate green defect flavours. This will be the first open session for industry members to taste and evaluate these samples and to try the kit.

Green buyer, roaster and sensory expert
Marie-Anne Rogers will be present to talk you through the reasons defects occur in coffee and what they mean to the farmer, green buyer and roaster.

We are expecting an exciting and educational session and hope to see you there.

Tickets strictly limited - £10 for talks and tasting only, or £15 to include a beer and snack at Kaffeine on Eastcastle Street afterwards.

Organized by

The International Coffee Organization and the SCAE UK Chapter Education Coordinators, Tim Sturk and Ben Townsend, host this series of coffee education events at the ICO's conference facilities in London.

The Coffee Sessions aim to drive interest in coffee quality, to improve standards and to shorten the distance between farmer, roaster, barista and consumer. These events also provide networking opportunities for professionals and consumers alike – an opportunity for the various disciplines to cross the boundaries to new topics of interest.
