Description
The Abyssinian Fund (www.abyfund.org) is hosting a fundraiser on Thursday, March 12 at Madiba Harlem to support its continuing efforts to reduce poverty in Ethiopia by supplying training, equipment, educational, and economic support to its native coffee farmers who are producing the world’s best coffee.
The event will feature live music by Arki Sound (with thanks to Tadias Magazine and Africology), wine, beer, and hors d'oeuvres from Madiba Harlem. There will also be a silent auction including exciting items such as Ethiopian artifacts and foods, gift certificates to local Harlem restaurants and businesses, signed photos of greats such as Muhammad Ali, Walt Frazier, and Willie Mays, an Eli Manning signed helmet, and fantasy experiences such as a trip to Napa Valley or a Rao's dinner for 10 in your home. A grand prize raffle winner will receive a round trip ticket to Africa courtesy of Uptown Magazine and South African Airlines.
There will also be coffee from The Abyssinian Fund's farms available for tasting and as gift for donation.
The dress code is Professional/Business Casual.
