Urban Youth Impact is the only faith-based organization serving the most at-risk inner-city youth in Palm Beach County, primarily through an award-winning after-school program. They are loved through trusting relationships, equipped with academics to succeed in school, empowered with leadership skills to begin successful careers, their potential is expanded by discovering artistic and creative talents, and they are guided to discover their purpose in life.
During this two-day opportunity, volunteers will have the opportunity to learn about what Urban Youth Impact is doing to empower the next generation living in our urban communities. Additionally, volunteers will engage in a service opportunity with one of Urban Youth Impact's outreaches.
Schedule:
Lunch & Learn w/ Urban Youth Impact
- Friday, August 11
- 12:30pm to 4:30pm
Outreach w/ Urban Youth Impact
- Saturday, August 12
- 10:00am to 1:30pm
Volunteers will receive:
- Workship credit
- Workship t-shirt - provided the day of the project
- Free Chick-fil-a Lunch
- Transportation to/from the project
Dress Code/What to Bring:
- Long shorts/pants
- Comfortable closed toe shoes
- Water bottle
- Volunteers should leave anything valuable in their resident hall or at home
