Description

Part scripted and part actual open mic, Mixtape: Open Mic is an immersive show with live music and short plays where the audience can sign up to get on stage to perform music, comedy, juggling, magic or whatever their heart desires.

Mixtape: Open Mic chronicles a night at a San Francisco open mic chalk full of musicians, comedians, poets and the drama and laughs that come with artists sharing their work for strangers. The half-scripted show features a group of "ringers" who write new material each week (short scenes, songs, stand up acts etc.), and allows for 8 open mic slots to be filled by the general public. Sign ups begin at 7:30p.

The MixTape: Open Mic Ringers are Maria Diploudis, Sara Judge, Nikki Meñez, Jeanie Ngo, Rob Ready, Derricka Smith and Evan Wardell.

Welcome to PianoFight! We are a community-driven indy arts venue that takes pride in partnering with local artists to make great shows, mouth watering eats and delicious cocktails adding up to a uniquely San Francisco experience. Our two intimate theaters and cabaret stage host music, comedy, plays, dance, film screenings, drag, magic, variety shows and more, while our restaurant and bar serves up new American bites and classic cocktails. We provide space and infrastructure to hundreds of artists, who create and stage 1,500 performances for over 50,000 audience members each year.  During the day, we are the home base for the offices and classrooms of community non-profits like Tenderloin Walking Tours and Code Tenderloin which runs a job-readiness program for TL residents.
