Come Downtown for a night of shopping and merriment with your friends — and make some new ones, too!

Portland House of Music will host the kick-off party for Merry Madness from 4-6pm, complete with live music, delicious nibbles and a commemorative Merry Madness glass. Your $15 advance ticket ($20 at the door) guarantees you entry into the event, a collectible glass, one pour of wine or beer at the venue, yummy appetizers and a chance to win some fabulous raffle prizes. How amazing is that?

Once you have your glass and a snack, get ready to shop 'til you drop at one of our many fabulous participating locations. The shops will stay open until 10pm and you can follow the map to find holiday treasures for everyone on your list!

Need to get a gift wrapped? No problem! Swing by Bangor Savings Bank (180 Middle Street) for free gift wrapping from 6-8pm.

Portland Downtown, the event organizer, will be giving back a portion of the night's proceeds to the Portland Press Herald Toy Fund. A perfect night of fun, charity and shopping at all of your favorite Downtown shops. Participating stores will be offering tastes of wine or cocoa and snacks along the way.
