Description

OUR LEGACY

In the last century, generations of Filipinos have made their home in San Francisco, settling in the historic Manilatown, South of Market, Fillmore, Mission, Excelsior, and spreading throughout every neighborhood of the City.

Filipinos have been part of the history and cultural fabric of San Francisco and have strengthened shared values of education, service, family, and community. We have renewed our tradition of bayanihan, working within the Filipino community and others for equal access to education, housing, and employment opportunities.

Drawing on this rich legacy, the Bayanihan Community Center and the Filipino Community Center have partnered with many organizations to support and empower our youth, women, seniors, and working families through services and advocacy. In the last ten years, we have also provided a welcoming home to celebrate our culture and cultivate our unity.

As we celebrate our milestones, we invite you to join us in revitalizing our traditions and creating new legacies for generations to come.
