Description
Public procurement represents 25% of total EU procurement, thus constituting a considerable economic force through which cities can improve their local environment and the quality of life of their citizens. Innovative procurement can decrease the cost of municipal purchasing by 20% while delivering step-changes in city systems and services. For municipalities interested in innovation procurement, the European Commission, the Covenant of Mayors and the ENIGMA project are organising this webinar on municipal innovation procurement.
This one-hour event includes the following presentations:
- Vasileios Tsanidis, European Commission - An introduction to innovation procurement and the EU financial support for PPI and PCP
- Caterina Sampol, AQUAS, Barcelona - Pre-Commercial Procurement for local and regional innovation
These introductions will be followed by a half-hour questions and answers session with the participants in the webinar.
