A SPECIAL ROCK CONCERT & LITERARY EVENT ON SUNDAY, JUNE 21: STEVE KIMOCK, GREG ANTON, BOBBY VEGA & BANANA of ZERO performing together with DAVID NELSON AND PAUL KNIGHT.
After the Grateful Dead, the quintessential San Francisco jam-rock band of the ‘90s was ZERO. They performed over 1300 concerts nationwide and released eight albums of original music with songs co-written by Grateful Dead lyricist Robert Hunter.
ZERO co-founders Greg Anton and Steve Kimock are re-uniting with original members Bobby Vega and Banana, and bringing in David Nelson (New Riders of the Purple Sage) and Paul Knight for this one-time-only very special concert in San Francisco.
In addition to the concert, music critic Joel Selvin (SF Chronicle) will be moderating a conversation between Steve Kimock and Greg Anton about Greg’s newly released rock ‘n’ roll novel “FACE THE MUSIC.”
Greg’s novel is set in San Francisco in the 1970s and is a rock ‘n’ rolling ride based on real life experiences.
Robert Hunter’s take on Greg’s book: “Greg expresses the insularity of the pop-music business with stunning veracity…an insider’s look at it’s highs, lows and a whiff of the steaming guts, delivered with style and verve… Good Shit!”
