Discover the vibrant, thriving urban center of Mount Vernon Triangle and learn about the history and recent development of this historic neighborhood, from its roots as the home of the original Northern Liberties Market to its new identity as a hub for retail, residents and offices. This tour will include a walk past historic buildings and through one of DC’s original commercial alleys, Prather’s Alley, while discussing the social and economic forces that led to its original development, period of decline and current revitalization. Tour will end with a rooftop visit and birds-eye view of the City.
