ESO Day, Nov. 14, 2023
On November 14, at ESO Day as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week - KC, we will come together to gain new insights on how to develop a sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystem as we continue to build America's most inclusive entrepreneurial city.
About the Day

9:00 a.m. – Welcome + Special Presentation from Dr. Burns-Wallace, Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation
9:30 a.m. – Keynote: “Scaling Deep: Building Self-Reliance in Communities”, Suntae Kim, Johns Hopkins Carey Business School
In his work with Anna Kim, "Going Viral or Growing Like an Oak Tree? Towards Sustainable Local Development through Entrepreneurship," Suntae finds that entrepreneurship has the power to revitalize impoverished communities. "Scaling deep" involves growing slowly and becoming embedded in the local economy, requires building rich relationships with local partners and seeking out creative ways to leverage the resources available in their local environments to address urgent, local problems.
