Description

EPIC is going spelunking! On Saturday March 25th, EPIC members will suit up and descend into Hobbit Hole, located on the historic Dahlstrom Ranch in Buda.

After spelunking we invite members to join us at the main ranch compound for a scenic Hill Country lunch where we will have the opportunity to hear from the owner of the property, Jack Dahlstrom. This ranch was one of Hill Country Conservancy's first conservation easements, which was one full of hurdles and complications. The section of the ranch where we will be spelunking, while still being held privately by the Dahlstrom family, will soon be opened to limited public access, the first opportunity of its kind in Central Texas.

First group will descend at 10:30am and the second will go at 1:00pm - be sure to specify which group you would like to join during checkout. The event is open exclusively to EPIC members - but space is limited, so please RSVP only if you're sure you can make it. More details about the event will be emailed to attendees ahead of time.

Not an EPIC member yet? You can chose to purchase a membership with your ticket. Other activities that your membership will grant access to include camping trips, nature hikes, kayaking, Lunch & Learns with inspiring speakers, trail cleanups, and more. Membership dues go to support Hill Country Conservancy’s projects in and around Austin, including the Violet Crown Trail. By joining EPIC, you join a network of professionals who care about keeping Austin green, love having fun in nature, and are champions for conservation.
