Description

Bring your laptops & projects to share!

As always, our User Group is a place to meet, exchange ideas, ask questions, and share our accomplishments with ARCHICAD and related BIM apps. We present projects, share tips and tricks, and provide the opportunity to network with other ARCHICAD users, both during and after the meeting. But we’re going to shake things up a little this month and ask that you bring your laptops with you so you can show off some of your ARCHICAD projects (if you don’t have a laptop, bring your project files on a thumb drive).

CERC offers a large space with plenty of room for us to spread out and fire up our computers. By bringing your own machine, not only will you have an opportunity to share your projects in discussion circles, you will also be able to follow along as we go through some of the new features in ARCHICAD 19. If you don’t have ARCHICAD 19 yet, you can download a trial version here in advance of our meeting.

Some of the topics we will discuss include:

  • New background processing that generates nearly instant model views.
  • Smoother, faster 3D navigation with OpenGL.
  • Point-cloud support that provides faster, error-free building surveys using the latest 3D scanner laser-survey technology.
  • The new Label Tool.
  • Intuitive, drag-and-drop editing of building model surfaces in 3D.
  • Improved interoperability functions and collision detection with IFC and OpenBIM.
  • And more – contact Jesse Gallanar today to add your topic to the list!
