Celebration of Life for Monique Woolley Suicide Awareness/Prevention

SISFI and The Suicide Prevention Institute in collaboration with Ms. Amour Delus presents "Celebration of Life for Ms. Monique Woolley", Nov. 5th-7th 2015. This will be 3 powerful days of suicide awareness, prevention and training, and a Creative Arts Fashion Show Fundraiser to benefit the ongoing work we do here in helping and supporting people struggling with life challenges such as depression, sexual abuse, substance abuse, homelessness, domestic abuse, and grief and loss from violence and suicide.

On Nov. 5th, 7-10pm will be a meet and greet dinner, and one-on-one counseling sessions with Mr. Brett A. Scudder for people who are hurting and struggling with emotional distress or in emotional crisis. Mr. Scudder will be providing emotional wellness support, healing and teaching people how to live with and overcome their crisis and distress. These will be private sessions that will be scheduled ahead of time. Anyone interested must submit their requests to Ask@sisfi.org

Nov. 6th. 10am-4pm Mr. Scudder will conduct "How To Help Someone In Emotional Crisis and Distress" Suicide Awareness and Prevention Workshop for anyone interested in learning more about why people chose to kill themself, understanding and recognizing emotional crisis, how to help them overcome the thoughts and emotions, and help them heal and recover. The workshop focuses on humanizing the experiences of what the person in distress goes through with unrecognized signs and explainable emotions.

On. Nov. 7th, 9pm-12am will be a Creative Arts Tribute and Fashion Show Fundraiser in memory of and tribute to Ms. Monique Woolley. Ms. Monique struggled with depression and ended her life in 2015. Ms. Monique was into creative arts and so we will celebrate her life and work through arts and fashion.
