Overview

Please join St. Louis Friends of Israel for a premier screening of "The Black Forest" followed by a discussion with Kay Wilson.

Kay Wilson is a motivational speaker who addresses a variety of audiences all over the world, including the United Nations. In her role as representative of Palestinian Media Watch, she lobbies Western governments to end the foreign aid that rewards her would-be murderers. Together with a Muslim friend, she has created “The Yellow Brick Road,” an educational project that teaches children in a Palestinian refugee camp emotional intelligence, empathy, courage, and to cherish their lives.

Wilson, whose actions led to the capture of her assailants, has been recognized by the Israeli Police and the Israeli Security Agency for her courage. The attack was the subject of an acclaimed Israeli documentary, “Black Forest,” broadcast in 2018, and a book, "The Rage Less Traveled: A Memoir of Surviving a Machete Attack," which was published in 2019 and will be available for purchase at the event.
