Where is Olmsted Center located on Drake's campus?

Olmsted Student Center is located at 2875 University Ave (North of University, between 31st and 27th Streets). Entrances are provided at the North and South side of the building. https://www.drake.edu/map/

Where is parking located?

Accepted Answer

Guests are encouraged to park in Olmsted Center Parking lot  (adjacent to the venue) or across University Avenue in the Harkin Institute Parking lot (street parking is also available along University or 27th and 28th Streets). https://www.drake.edu/publicsafety/parking/

Is the event accessible?

Accepted Answer

Yes, an elevator is provided at the South entrance of Olmsted Center to access the Parents Hall (upper level). Accessible restrooms are available on the main level of Olmsted Center. The presentation will include ASL interpretation and captioning provided through Studio Iowa.

Question 4

How can I get a copy of the Many Lives of Andrew Young book?

Accepted Answer

The 256-page coffee table book designed by Donald Bermudez with a narrative by Ernie Suggs, reporter with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, will be on sale at the event. The book retails for $60 and proceeds will be donated to the Andrew J. Young Foundation.

I can't attend in person, but I'm interested in the livestream. How do I access it?

Accepted Answer

The event will be livestreamed at https://live.drake.edu/, to allow guests to join us if they are unable to attend in person. Pre-registration is not required to access the livestream event, and guests may simply login at the event start time.
