The 10th Annual Denver International Wine Festival is the premier wine and food festival in the Rocky Mountains, showcasing more than 400 international wines from 18 countries! This incredible event also features selected premium spirits, sake, craft beer, and a Belgium Beer Garden complete with gourmet food samplings expertly paired with famous Belgium beers, served in their custom glassware. Attendees enjoy a multitude of delectable food and wine tastings, fresh produce, gourmet food products, wine accessories, fine art, and exhibits by luxury travel destinations.

The DIWF is pleased to continue its partnership with Riedel Crystal, using Riedel and Spiegelau glassware exclusively. In addition, VIP guests may attend a Riedel Vinum XL Glass Tasting seminar that includes your own set of Riedel glasses ($75 additional).

In 2013 the DIWF moved it's venue to the Omni Interlocken Resort and received rave reviews from attendees and exhibitors. We are excited to be returning to the OMNI again in 2014.

The 2013 Denver International Wine Festival will donate a portion of ticket sales and 100% of the proceeds of all silent and live auctions to Share Our Strength®, a national nonprofit, is ending childhood hunger in America by connecting children with the nutritious food they need to lead healthy, active lives.

Main Events

Our signature culinary event, Pairsine Chef’s Food and Wine Pairing Competition (Thursday 11/20) pairs Gold Medal wines from The Denver International Wine Competition with inventive cuisine prepared by some of America's most creative chefs.

While the event is sometimes referred to as "Iron Chef ™ “meets wine, participating chefs have no secret ingredient to cook. Their challenge is to create two spectacular wine pairings with just one week’s notice! They are assigned two Gold Medal wines (one white and one red) one week before the competition to taste and develop their custom paired dishes. Bravo TV’s Top Chef Season 5 Winner Hosea Rosenberg is a three-time Champion of The Taste of Elegance (2006, 2007, and 2008) and was our celebrity judge in 2009 and 2010.

The Grand Tasting of International Wines and Food (Friday 11/21) is the regions largest tasting event for consumers, media and trade. More than 60 wineries, breweries and distilleries will showcase their products. VIP ticket holders gain two-hour early access, exclusive entrance to the VIP lounge with chef station, rare beverages and complimentary admission to educational seminars and guided tastings. Last year’s seminars included: Artisanal Cheese & Wine Pairing Adventure Seminar by: Barrie Lynn – The Cheese Impresario and Mike Andrews of Coyote Canyon Winery, Champagne Styles by Madeleine DeJean, Reidel Vinum XL Glass Tasting Seminar (VIP Deluxe) and Wine and Food Pairing Seminar presented by Claude Robbins of The International Wine Guild.

Julia Child Tribute Champagne Luncheon- (Saturday 11/22)

This year we again offer an intimate Champagne Luncheon and Sabering Demonstration, featuring Julia Child's All-American menu paired with selections from the great Champagne houses known famously throughout the world. Special Guest Host Madeleine de Jean, known in the industry as
"Madame Champagne". Madeleine was former Ambassador and Director of Salesfor Champagnes Veuve Clicquot, Gosset, Laurent-Perrier, GH Mumm andPerrier-Jouet. A dear friend of Julia Child, Madeleine will lead the afternoon activities with a Sabering demonstration and stories of Julia’s love of food and Champagne.. Ladies should come prepared to say something in her voice. The best Julia Child impersonator will win a special prize!
