Winner of a 2015 Avon Foundation for Women grant, Defined Lines' Empowering the Bystander (ETB) program is an evidence-based program designed to increase bystander behavior to stop sexual assault by arming attendees with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely intervene as well as raising awareness surrounding the larger issue of combating rape culture. Attendees of this training will be trained by the Defined Lines team, the creators of the ETB program. After attending the training you will gain an increased understanding of rape culture and how bystander plus trainings can be used to change the discussion surrounding sexual assault. Furthermore, you will gain the skills to present the program, handle difficult questions from ETB participants, and receive the support and materials necessary to implement this program at your university and in your community.
