An elaborate fundraiser for “S.H.M.I.L.Y. Gifts from Above” has been planned and will be hosted on December 5, 2014 in New Braunfels. We are flying in the former White House Chef, Walter Scheib, to host a culinary talk where our guests will enjoy a fabulous four-course meal laced with stories and experiences of Chef Walter as the chef to both the Clinton and Bush families. We believe this will be a once in a lifetime experience and has never been done before in our areas. All proceeds from the ticket sales, silent auction and private donations will go to "S.H.M.I.L.Y. Gifts from Above”. We believe that holding the event in December will encourage people to donate during the "season of giving" and to make last minute charitable gifts to assist with their tax liability. Tickets will be for sale beginning July 31, 2014. We hope that we see you there!

The "S.H.M.I.L.Y. Gifts From Above" mission is to provide financial assistance as well as emotional support to college students who lose a parent while seeking a higher education. We eventually would like to expand our cause to include students in high school that have a desire to attend college who lose a parent while in high school. Texas Financial Advisory gives a portion of their profits to “S.H.M.I.L.Y. Gifts from Above”. From a business standpoint, we find that clients find value in our organization because of our financial commitment to sacrifice a portion of our profits to a nonprofit organization. Indirectly that allows the client the ability to provide a positive impact on another individual that they would not have the opportunity to do with other financial advisory firms.
