When & Where
The goal of Project ACHIEVE is to find ways to prevent HIV infection and other sexually transmitted diseases among men who have sex with men and heterosexual women in New York City. Project ACHIEVE, established in 1993, is part of the New York Blood Center’s Laboratory of Infectious Disease Prevention and is under the leadership of Beryl Koblin, PhD. We conduct behavioral intervention trials to develop innovative ways to help participants reduce their risk of HIV infection and studies spanning all phases of HIV vaccine research as part of an international effort to find a preventive HIV vaccine.
