Northview Band on the Run 5K Run/Walk

The Northvivew Band Boosters are pleased to announce the inaugural “Northview Band on the Run” 5K Run/Walk to be held Saturday, May 10, 2014. All race proceeds will be used to support the students of the Northview Band and Guard.

The race route will begin and end in Forest Park. Members of the Northiew Band will play the National Anthem to start the race and provide entertainment along the route.

All participants that are pre-registered by May 5th are guaranteed a commemorative Band on the Run t- shirt. Late registrants will receive shirts while they last…so register early. Online sales will end at 2:00pm on May 9, but may be purchased at Top It Off at 7:00pm on May 9th or May 11th at the race.

Awards will consist of Band on the Run commemorative drum heads. These top awards will be presented to the top male and top female adult winners and to the top student (18 and under) male and female winners. Standard age group winners will receive medals.

Band Stander—Not a runner? Not a problem, you can support the band by registering as a “band stander.” Come and watch the runners and support the band (or you can just stay in bed and and think about the runners). You will still get the race shirt.

The course will start near Forest Park Shelter 4. A water station is available midcourse.

The race will be held rain or shine. There are no refunds.

Packets may be picked up May 9 during Top It Off. Doors open at 7:00pm and the entertainment begins at 7:30pm. Packets may also be picked up at Forest Park on May 10 from 7-7:30am.
