Rochester Fencing Club

The Rochester Fencing Club is Western New York’s premier destination for fencing—welcoming athletes of all ages and skill levels. Founded in the 1970s by legendary coach Anthony “Buckie” Leach, RFC has a proud legacy of producing Olympians, including Rochester natives Felicia and Iris Zimmermann, Hannah Thompson (Olympic silver medalist), and Arlene Stevens.

Renamed Rochester Fencing Club in 2001, the club entered a new era when Felicia and Iris took ownership in 2008. In 2018, RFC moved to its current state-of-the-art facility, continuing to build a diverse, respectful, and supportive community.

With internationally recognized coaches and a long-standing culture of excellence, RFC offers both recreational and competitive programs. Whether you're picking up a foil for the first time or aiming for the world stage, RFC is where you’ll find world-class instruction, community, and opportunity.
