Whispering Pines Farm
Debbie Webster bought a few sheep and goats over 20 years ago for a Live Nativity. Today, she has the only licensed Sheep milk dairy in South Carolina. Her award winning cheese business has grown tremendously each year. She also is licensed for her Jersey cows and dairy goats and makes a variety of hard and soft cheeses even some blended milk cheeses. She has a meat handler license and sells pastured lamb. She’s President of SC sheep and Goat, ASI State Executive, on the boards of ASI, Dairy Sheep Association, Forage and Grazing Land Coalition and Livestock Advisory Board. She’s a published author, NAMB Chaplin and public speaker.
She started the first 4H Dairy sheep club in the US, her Agri-Tourism program served over 1,000 families per summer for over a decade, she has classes for small ruminant care, cheese making and uses her horses and sheep for therapy with Special Needs children.
She is passionate about helping people start farms. Over the years, she has started hundreds new producers and mentors them along the different seasons. She founded the Whispering Pines Foundation, a Non-Profit, dedicated to getting children and youth outdoors and involved in dairy sheep, goats, and farming.
Her 180-acre farm is in Seneca, SC where she lives with her husband and two daughters. They raise horses, cattle, sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, livestock guardian dogs and Border Collies. Depending on the time of the year, they can have 150-350 animals.
