Waterwise Community Center

We are a public agency whose goal is the protection of the Chino Groundwater Basin in order to guarantee that current and future water needs will be met.
The District’s commitment to conservation is two-pronged:

--Provide water conservation education to reduce demands on the area's water supply: The District’s educational approach addresses individuals, school districts, organizations, and municipalities within its service area. The District’s Waterwise Community Center is a unique resource for the area with dedicated classroom space and a demonstration garden with real-life examples of waterwise landscaping best practices.

--Utilize percolation basins and spreading grounds to increase the area’s water supply: The use of percolation basins and spreading grounds to replenish the Chino Basin Aquifer has made the District one of the first agencies in California to take a pro-active role in region-wide water conservation.

The District provides many resources to help you on your own conservation journey. Come visit us at our Waterwise Community Center to learn more about how you can conserve water.
The Waterwise Community Center and Demonstration Garden are open 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Mon-Sat.
You can schedule an appointment to visit our Landscape Design Room to plan your own Water Wise Transformation, or visit our website to learn more about our  free classes and programs. For schools and educators, we provide free transportation for schools within our service area to come visit the Waterwise Community Center.
