Valé is a Latinx-led eco-centered art and design collective based in the Far Rockaways, New York.

Founded by artist and educator Camila A. Morales, Valé blends environmental science, bioacoustic research, and community-rooted design to build climate literacy, ecological connection, and a deep sense of belonging in a frontline coastal community.

We offer bilingual educational programs, youth workshops, public art, and field-based research that strengthen coastal resiliency, support soils and ocean health, and address long-standing environmental injustices in the Rockaways.

The EcoLab functions as a community placemaking hub where youth, residents, artists, and scientists learn together. We incorporate hands-on exploration, creative technology, and environmental storytelling. Our goal is to cultivate stewardship, shared agency, and connection to the land and waters that sustain us.
