Daryl Mendelson – Biography
Daryl Mendelson is a writer and performer whose work blends compassion and humor. He has written multiple stage plays, including Things Are Looking Up, a semifinalist in the New York Theater Festival’s International Theater Competition (ITC). Additionally he co-wrote both The Jewtalian (produced in Los Angeles) and Celibacy & Gefilte Fish. A proud member of SAG-AFTRA and the Dramatists Guild, Daryl has performed for more than six decades in plays and musicals, with notable roles including Sancho Panza in Man of La Mancha, Hysterium in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and Wilbur Turnblad in Hairspray. He recently completed the sci-fi novella The Silence of the Disconnect, an International Impact Book Awards winner in the Science Fiction – Supernatural category. His background also includes a B.A. in Biology, an M.S. in Health, and years of work as a database programmer.
