The Vagrancy is a 501(c)(3) ensemble-based theatre organization committed to producing new, lesser-known, and classical works with “duende,” and to supporting the development of new theatrical voices and perspectives. We aim to expand access to professional theatre by offering pay-what-you-want admission and creating welcoming, affordable cultural experiences for our communities.

Founded and led by women and nonbinary artists, The Vagrancy values inclusive artistic practices and strives to engage a broad range of artists across varied backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences. Our hiring and collaboration processes are designed to broaden opportunity, reduce barriers to participation, and cultivate artistic teams that reflect the diversity of the communities we serve.
