Terry Sand
Born in Ohio, raised in LA, and turned loose on San Francisco. After graduating UCLA’ s department of Modern Dance with both Bachelors and Masters of Art Degrees, Terry began her career as a modern dance choreographer. After moving to San Francisco, her creative focus turned to Improv Comedy and Television. Her claims to fame include performances with Robin Williams, Dana Carvey, Paula Poundstone and more. She also was featured on TV on “People Are Talking and Evening Magazine” as a comedic contributor. She is honored to have been crowned San Francisco’s first Miss Haight Ashbury, an historic San Francisco distinction. Terry is co-founder of Femprov, an all-female improv troupe. Presently, Terry focuses on expressing her comic core through the visual arts, focusing on painting and mixed media. She is a member of Art Bias, a thriving artist community in San Carlos. Her works have been shown on the international platforms of Artsy, and Art Show International. Locally at The Woman’s Art Gallery of San Francisco, St. Vincent’s’ Beauty Salon, the Redwood City Library, Philz Coffee, Portola Valley Art Show and the Silicon Valley Open Art Studios. Terry is looking forward exhibiting this June 2024 at the Newport Beach Art Show.
