SWEA Washington DC

SWEA (Swedish Women’s Educational Association, Inc.) is a global nonprofit organization for Swedish and Swedish-speaking women living abroad. With around 6,000 members in more than 70 chapters across 30 countries, SWEA provides a strong international network and a sense of community for women who share a connection to Sweden.

Through cultural events, educational initiatives, scholarships, and donations, SWEA promotes Swedish language, traditions, and heritage worldwide. The organization also supports women in maintaining and strengthening their Swedish identity while living outside of Sweden, and serves as a valuable professional and social network wherever its members may be.
