SoHarlem is a place-based social enterprise that connects people living in poverty with cultural industry opportunities that help them achieve economic self-sufficiency. To do this, we incubate creative entrepreneurs, and we train the workforce needed to sustain them.

Over the past twelve years, SoHarlem has launched more than 20 successful micro-businesses comprising everything from custom-made, couture garments to fashion accessories. Our Entrepreneurs in Residence are Donna Drew (Triangle Designs), Zaire Benjamin, Olivia Smashum (Blue Olive), Noah Josēph (Art in Heaven), Kenny Allen, Javier Valencia (Javier Valencia Designs), Walter Dixon (Atashi), Deirdre Washington (BLHR), Gladys Perez , and Jacqueline Puello-Raboy (JRP Creations).
