Our mission in creating Shokunin is to cultivate a community of artists and artisans by hosting engaging workshops, fostering meaningful cross-disciplinary connections, and strengthening the presence of women in the arts. We are driven to illuminate the labor that happens behind the scenes, and to ensure that artisans’ contributions to the Bay Area’s cultural landscape are seen, valued, celebrated, and elevated.
