Safe Passage Prevention

Safe Passage Prevention Team strives to create safe, stable, nurturing relationships and environments for youth by being intentional in providing support, expressing care, sharing power, challenging growth, and expanding possibilities. Our Prevention team uses the Socio-Ecological Model Framework to guide our efforts in combatting relationship violence. Ultimately the goal of primary prevention is to stop violence before it even begins; this means shifting and influencing factors that put people at risk for violence in the first place. Understanding the different factors that put people at risk, or even protect people from risk, is very complex. The Socio-Ecological Model clarifies how risk, or protective, factors influence each level of our society and relationships.
