Actual Humans

I came to the Actual Humans session to socialise and get to know new people. I enjoy talking about ideas and philosophy in the practical and pragmatic way that Rosie encourages. It was great to meet other people who enjoy the same. I know a bit about a few philosophers though I have forgotten most of what I have read about them, but I can still enjoy Rosie's groups because it's not about what you know it's about your response in the moment to a question that the group chooses together.

I was looking for events in sheffield that are more than drinking and chitchat. I also enjoy discussions on deeper subjects. I really liked the subject and you as the facilitator did a great job at noticing little things and directing the activities. I think it's great. If only it could be more frequent.

Write from the Art

"This was a great, light-hearted way to play with creative writing and build confidence in finding new ways to generate writing ideas."

"I really liked the fact that it was structured, it used short exercises with a defined objective to help steer us through a range of thinking and writing which helped lead us to using our imaginations. Sharing observations and ideas was great too as it provided aspects which we may not have picked up on our own."

"I've been toying with the idea of wanting to do some creative writing, but wouldn't know where to start - this session was structured around a piece of art which helped provide a framework of thoughts and ideas to spark the imagination. I found this really helpful and will definitely be back again. thanks".
