Robert Hails
Bob Hails has 40+ years of experience in distance education. He currently is a member of the International Advisory Board for Online Learning. Most recently, he's retired from Northeastern State University as the Executive Director of their eCampus. Along the way in his career, he's been Director of Distance & Extended Education at the University of Idaho, Distance Learning Coordinator for Pennsylvania's State System of Higher Education, Distance Education Coordinator at Ohio University, and a few others along the way. He has a M.Ed. in Counseling, and a B.S. in Communications. Both degrees are from Ohio University. (Go Bobcats!) He is the founder of Transforming the Teaching & Learning Environment virtual conference. He was also the founder of the Southern Educational Technology Conference. And, in 1998 he organized the first statewide videoconference in Ohio focused on distance education.
