Project H.O.O.D. — Helping Others Obtain Destiny

Project H.O.O.D. is a faith-based community development organization in Chicago's Woodlawn neighborhood, founded in 2011 by Pastor Corey Brooks. We exist to break the cycle of violence and poverty on the South Side by giving people the skills, opportunity, and support to build a future.

Our work spans five pillars: violence interruption, re-entry, youth services, workforce development, and health & wellness.

We host community tours, donor and partner gatherings, workforce and entrepreneurship events, youth programming, and celebrations of the people and progress that make Woodlawn home — including events at our new Leadership and Economic Opportunities Center (LEOC).

Join us. Every event is a chance to invest in a neighborhood, a young person, a second chance.
