Nomadic Matt

Matthew Kepnes runs the award-winning budget travel site, Nomadic Matt, wrote the New York Times best-seller, How to Travel the World on $50 a Day, and a recent memoir, Ten Years A Nomad. After a trip to Thailand in 2005, Matt decided to quit his job, finish his MBA and head off into the world. His original trip was supposed to last a year. Over a decade and almost 100 countries later, he's still out roaming the world.

Matt regularly speaks at travel trade and consumer shows, created the travel media conference: TravelCon, and founded the non-profit: FLYTE, which send high school classes abroad to bring their learning experience to life.

When not traveling the world, he lives in Austin.
