Nicholas Pharo is the founder and storyteller behind Nightworks Obscura—a traveling house of immersive mystery, candlelit theatre, and esoteric intrigue. Drawing on a deep well of experience in haunt acting, atmospheric design, and live performance, Pharo has spent over two decades crafting spaces where guests don’t just observe a story—they cross its threshold.

Every Nightworks production is infused with alchemical intent: transformation through experience, meaning found in the margins, and beauty coaxed from the dark. Guests become witnesses, suspects, or seekers in narratives where the line between fiction and fate blurs—sometimes over dinner, sometimes in ritual, always by design.

In addition to his work as director and host, Pharo curates merchandise and relics under the banner Pharo’s Nightworks & Obscura—a nod to the traveling merchant, the shadowed apothecary, and the snake-oil mystic. From wax seals to whispered prophecies, the artifacts are just one more way to carry the night home.
