Murphy Arts District

Murphy Arts District

El Dorado Festivals & Events is a mission driven 501(c)3 company founded to create the "Festival City of the South!" Embracing the spirit of Southern arts and culture, we strive to engage economic opportunity for the city of El Dorado through the creation of the Murphy Arts District. The Murphy Arts District, otherwise known as "MAD," contains an outdoor 7,500 capacity amphitheater stage (MAD Amp) and indoor 2,500 seat First Financial Music Hall stage, and a cabaret stage located inside Mad House 101 Restaurant & Bar. MAD also contains a 2 acre playscape (MAD Playscape), a seasonal Farmers Market, and an outdoor art exhibit featuring the History of Arkansas. Our district also contains the historic Rialto Theater and McWilliams building, both which have future goals of being fully restored and activated.
