Just a little bit of background info:

Amateur Cyclist.

During the last couple of years I had participated on a couple of Century rides:
Bike2Beach DC-DE,
Police Unity Tour NJ-DC,
Face of America DC-Gettysburg, VA,
The Fiesta Wildflower SA, TX;
Ride for the Fallen Memorial Day Century ride,( once every year in memory our fallen warriors)
Live Strong Century, ATX

And one Challenge 4 Change a 600+ miles of pedaling from Blackpool England to Paris, France.

I eat well, exercised, trained to increase my endurance and strength and tune up my bicycle. But honestly it took every drop of motivation and effort to complete the challenging route. More important, the motivation and camaraderie shared between all the riders make the difference. One day I would felt invincible and the next day I wanted to quit after 6 back to back flats in one day.

We rode every single day regardless of the weather, rain, sun, cold, windy, but we did it. Amazing accomplishment in support of Challenge for Change..

If your are a short distance rider and have not done a Century ride, I strongly recommend you to do one or two before considering riding on this event.

You should have a better understanding of your body, how it feels at 50, 75 miles, etc...more important how good or bad you will be the next day.

Your endurance, mental strength, motivation and ability to overcome
challenges will take a big part of it.

Ensure you consult with your doctor and you are healthy enough. This is an extreme challenging event.
