Midlands Mediation Center
Midlands Mediation Center is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) community mediation center in Columbia, South Carolina We have been mediating disputes since 1994, using well-trained volunteers who work to help people manage and resolve their conflicts, disputes and disagreements. We've been here for you for 20 years, helping our community to resolve conflict, peacefully. We facilitate resolution with our community mediation services, we teach conflict transformation and engagement skills, and we model a culture of peace with our conversations.... We believe communities have the ability to initiate, facilitate, mediate, and engage in collaborative community relationships to affect positive systemic change in the Midlands.
MMC uses trained volunteers to provide mediation services on a sliding scale and facilitation, dialogues and training services to individuals and organizations.
We have resources, tools, and skills to support community conflict resolution needs. Our products support social empowerment. We recognize an empowered communities develops their own norms, experience improved community relations, and are better able to manage conflict.
