Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry

The Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization working to alleviate hunger in our community. We have been providing supplemental food choices to hungry people in the Kane County community for over 65 years. We strive to help increase the independence of clients through self-help initiatives and other innovative programs, and raising awareness about poverty and its solutions. We presently have 2 locations in Aurora, IL to help assist families with enhanced locations and distribution times. We are a client choice shopping pantry where families are able to choose the food items they know will benefit their meals. Our pantry is thrilled to rescue food from local grocery stores to avoid food waste: our volunteers not only pick up rescued food regularly, we sort and inspect all items before distributing. Any produce not suitable for human consumption is composted in our community garden. We work diligently to reuse, redistribute and recycle keeping our families and the environment at the forefront.
