Madonna Lazo-Smith, M.A. CCC-SLPCEO of Making Learning Special

Hello there! Being a bilingual English-Tagalog speaker, I was intrigued by language and wanted to learn more about different aspects of it. I stumbled across speech-language pathology while in college and automatically fell in love with it as it combined what I enjoyed and valued, educating and individualizing support. Speech-language pathology definitely provides that plus more!

I have been a speech-language pathologist since 2013 and have worked in a variety of settings from private to medical to educational settings and with a range of students and clients from pediatrics to geriatrics prior to opening up my own private practice in 2020. Populations I have served include but are not limited to persons who have experienced a stroke or traumatic brain injury and individuals with speech and language delays and disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, and reduced hearing levels.
