Hi, I’m Carmen, the thrifter behind Loudoun Thrift — a longtime bargain hunter with a deep love for secondhand treasures!

My thrift journey began over 30 years ago, way back in high school — long before thrifting was trendy. I was lucky to have the best thrift partner from the start: my mom. She not only shared her love of the hunt with me but also encouraged me to someday turn that passion into something more.

In 2021, I finally listened to her voice in my head and launched Loudoun Thrift on Instagram and Facebook. Since then, I’ve been highlighting all the amazing thrift stores in and around Loudoun County, sharing tips, tricks, and spotlighting the local secondhand scene.

For years, I toyed with the idea of thrift store tours but couldn’t quite figure out how to bring them to life — until my sister took a food walking tour and the light bulb went off: Why not do the same with thrifting? That’s how the Loudoun Thrift Mini Bus Tour was born — a fun, community-driven way to explore local shops, discover unique finds, and enjoy the thrill of the hunt together.
