Hello my name is Laura Holland I have been a professional costume maker for theatre and screen for nearly 30 years.

I therefore feel it is time i pass some of my knowledge on to help others. The pandemic ,climate crisis,and the subsequent cost of living increases have exponentially increased and improved the profile of mending, altering, upcycling , and all issues which improve sustainability.

All these issues have been close to my heart for decades, and the opportunity to improve the wardrobes,lives and sustainability of local residents is my new passion.

I have always loved fabrics for all the richness and comfort they bring to our lives and I hope to be able to share this love and my extensive expertise with a wide audience.

I run workshops in local communities teaching residents how to mend, alter and upcycle their clothes, I teach a range hand and machine techniques.
