Keep Music Live Project

Keep Music Live Project is a collaboration with Streamside Concerts, Acoustic Journeys Concert Series, Dream Guitars, Asheville Music School, Deb Cornish Audio and Fretboard Journal. Our aim is to:

- provide performance opportunities for professional musicians.

- safely bring people together while in isolation.

The pandemic Is already an enormous hardship for performing artists. Performance opportunities for musicians have completely collapsed. Physical isolation is the right thing to do, but we all have a need for community, and musicians need work.

Our response is to take concerts online. You will be able to watch a show online from the comfort and safety of home, interact (via chat) with other viewers, and contribute to the artists via PayPal, Venmo (or other pay platform) as you would if you were attending a physical show. I hope this will give us a sense of connection as well as have a way to help sustain musicians through this crisis.

HOW IT WORKS: You will find announcements from your usual concert host, then check the list and RSVP for a show. Or you can check streamsideonline.eventbrite.com to see what’s coming up. Select the show you want to watch and RSVP by selecting REGISTER. You will receive an email with a link for the concert. Tune in at the concert time. The artist will provide you information to support them through an online donation. Donations for house concerts typically range from $10-20, more for ensembles. There is NO PAYWALL. In this challenging time, we are sensitive that many people are taking a huge financial hit. This may not be a good time for you to contribute. We still invite you to join us. We’re all in this together.

Together, we can keep the music alive.
