Joe George is an EMMY NOMINATED composer, producer, songwriter, and general noise maker. His music threads lines of connection between folk songs, ambient textures, neoclassical composition, and minimalism. Joe produces his music, and other artists' music, at his studio in Chicago - Gentle Bear Studio.

Joe releases music under his name, Joe George (singer-songwriter). And he also pours into his other creative projects, minor image (ambient, piano minimalism), and JG Shadid (neoclassical)

Joe's film compositions earned him an EMMY NOMINATION for the documentary series SEEING BRAVE. He also received notoriety for his film composition for THE PEDAL MOVIE, which went to #1 on iTunes in 2022.

Joe George has been a music educator/music conversationalist for many years. This kind of work has sustained many YouTube videos on the REVERB channel, which have gone viral. These editorial music discussions and lessons have granted Joe global notoriety as a well-respected communicator of the language of music.

His passion for music education has also brought him to Istanbul, Turkey, where he developed a music program for Syrian refugees at KARAM HOUSE.
