Originally launched as Indies in Indy in 2017 by Avelyn Paige, Indy Author Event has grown into a cornerstone of the book community, fostering connections between authors, readers, and industry professionals.

In 2024, we proudly established 317 Author Events INC, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting reading, literacy, and supporting local charities. Through our events and fundraising efforts, we strive to make a meaningful impact, ensuring that books and the joy of reading remain accessible to all.
