The Houston Permitting Center combines the permitting and licensing operations of several city departments in one physical location, including:

• Administration and Regulatory Affairs
• Houston Fire Department
• Houston Health Department
• Houston Police Department
• Houston Public Works
• Planning and Development

Together, we enforce ordinances and codes relating to the construction of residential and commercial buildings, and the operation of certain businesses. We host events to educate our customers on permitting requirements and processes.
