Green Walks

Green Walks celebrates the healing properties of time outdoors through a series of guided forest therapy experiences. Participants on all islands will enjoy a short, sensory immersion in our public green spaces and learn simple ways to incorporate these self-care practices into their daily lives. Hawaii’s natural beauty creates the perfect setting to form relationships between people and the natural world.

UPDATE 3/13/20: All upcoming walks are postponed till further notice. The State of Hawaiʻi, out of an abundance of caution and in an effort to inhibit the spread of COVID-19, has restricted travel on official State business. Green Walks is administered by the State's DLNR, Forestry and Wildlife Division. Registrants have been notified by email and will have priority status to re-register when new dates are announced.

Green Walks is a project of the Blue Zones Project Hawai'i, Hawai'i Pacific Gerontological Society, and Forest Bathing Hawaiʻi, with support from the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guides and Programs and funding from the Kaulunani Urban & Community Forestry Program.
