Gen is a Japanese music unit centered on traditional instruments, yet not limited by convention. We perform across genres and collaborate with various instruments. Based in Kyoto, we hold regular concerts at two unique venues:

・Gen Home Saiin

An intimate concert space inside a traditional Kyoto townhouse, where performances are held almost daily. With Japanese instruments, English explanations, and interactive elements, we welcome both locals and international visitors.

・Gen Soundbath Kujo-yu

Located near Kyoto Station, this historic public bathhouse hosts our concerts every Monday. Here, GEN explores collaborations not only with Japanese instruments but also with Western instruments such as guitar and flute, creating a fusion of tradition and modernity.
